Is it a car, is it a machine? No, it is a meanest angriest behemoth, wrenching the soul of a rider who decides to accelerate it. John Hennessey, the founder of Hennessey Performance Engineering Texas USA, has a reputation of transforming basic cars into wildebeests by melding a turbocharged engine on any 4 wheel-drive. This time the Texan Tuner has moulded an already sturdy Cadillac CTS-V into a VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe, capable of annihilating the roads its launched on.

The earlier CTS-V was an almost complete package of fine tuning and performance with a potential to achieve 556 bhp at 6100 rpm and 747 Nm of peak torque at 3800 rpm from a 6.-litre V8 supercharged engine. These figures were already impressive enough to lure the avid racers but Hennessey didn't just care. Ditching the old specifications, he dropped in a twin-turbo 7.0-litre V8 engine blended with a six-speed manual transmission able to produce a mammoth 1226 bhp at 6400 rpm and an explosive peak torque of 1500 Nm at 4000 rpm. In ideal conditions, the VR1200 twin turbo will accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and blister to a top speed of almost 390 kmph. These numbers have already made their way in the record books and experts are believing that it is the fastest CTV-S in the world.

Along with, the performance house has forged the pistons with aluminium, connecting rods and crankshaft forged from steel, upgraded the fuel system including lines, rail and regulator. With the provision of high flow cylinder heads, upgraded fuel injectors and adjustable boost controller (with 800, 1000 and 1226 bhp power settings), the twin turbo Cadillac ensures the ride of a lifetime. Although the transformed model is a monster on the streets fitted with superior set of Brembo brakes and Michelin super sport tyres, the company makes a worthwhile attempt to prevent any dreadful occurrence. Interiors too are strapped with Alacantara Headliner, upgraded leather stitching, Hennessey embroidered Headrest and premium floor mats, giving it an all new fancy sport look.

The Hennessey Production house has been in limelight earlier by altering the likes of Corvette stingray, Viper, Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes-Benz AMG, Nissan GT-R, Toyota, Lexus, Ford and the range manifolds. But with the introduction of its design technique in the Cadillac CTS- V, they have certainly crossed limits and have given birth to a nuclear Armageddon. Taking care of their vast fan following, the company has decided to build a 4-door sedan and a sports wagon model of the same coupe. VR1200 is all fresh in the market and geared up to slay its rivals Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron. Speculations are rife that the Texan company is planning to manufacture just 12 models of Cadillac VR1200 twin turbo and would need a time of 6 months to build each piece. So once you have decided to purchase this speed crusher, be ready to empty your pockets as each model will cost around Rs. 2 crore.
