Since HCIL halted production of City sedan to accommodate production for new Mobilio, the vehicle’s contribution was low at 757 units. Other vehicles that include Brio hatchback and CR-V premium SUV collectively chipped in 1273 units in August sales. The company is planning to resume production of new City sedan effective first week of September. Honda will start production of the vehicle at its new manufacturing facility in Tapukara located in Rajasthan. Amaze emerged largest contributor in last month’s sales, launched last year in India, Amaze crossed 1 lakh unit sales mark recently.
