      Harley-Davidson confirms 2nd HOG rally to be held in Goa

      Harley-Davidson, the aristocrats of cruiser bikes in India, has officially announced the commencement of its 2nd Harley Owners Group (HOG) rally, to begin in January 2014. This news has brought a wave of jubilation among avid riders owning a Harley-Davidson, and an assemblage of hundreds of participants is expected at the event. The motorcade will kick off from January 16, during the 2014 Indian Bike Week in Goa. Harley-Davidson is also the proud sponsor of the Indian Bike Week and will conduct the rally on a national level.

      Indian bike week is regarded as a primary motorcycle festival, which is open to all motorcyclists of the country, and as the chief promoter of this fiesta, Harley-Davidson has decided to rhapsodise its customers by holding such a convoy. HOG will be, however, exclusively for Harley-Davidson owners across the country and is set to witness riders traversing from different region of the country with their families.

      Indian bike week carnival, in its second year, is lined up with lively activities, from DJ's to live concert stages, with over 25 bands from across India, performing in front of the boisterous crowd. The festival will be a rendition of riders across the length and breadth of the nation, with a common interest of their love for bikes. Along with, HOG rally will be the highlight of the festival, with Harley-Davidson riders in a formal cavalcade, expressing their zealousness for the brand and felicitating the auspicious occasion.

      The news amidst all the exhilaration, which is tempting domestic buyers the most is the proposition of Harley-Davidson for the coming year. Speculations are rife that the bike manufacturer is all geared up to unveil its long awaited creation, Harley-Davidson Street 750, for the first time in India. The bike was first premiered at EICMA motor show in Milan and bears a V-twin engine 750 cc engine. The company is planning to manufacture the Street 750 model at its Bawal plant in Haryana.

      Adding to the excitement, Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India, quoted, “Today we are the leader in premium leisure motorcycling with 13 dealerships across the country and nearly 4,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles on the road. Our association as a founding sponsor of India Bike Week is natural as we continue to develop leisure motorcycling in India for all enthusiasts. Our first India H.O.G. Rally at the beginning of the year saw over 600 Harley-Davidson owners riding into Goa from across India. This year we take it up a notch and are expecting close to 1,000 riders. Besides the opportunity to see their favourite experience of the Harley-Davidson lifestyle at the event, enthusiasts visiting India Bike Week will also be among the first in India to see the all new Harley-Davidson Street 750.”

      With so many delighting news to contain, one thing is promised that the city of beach and sand is set to see a rendezvous of bikers, all displaying extreme fervour and revelling in the joy of the pageant.
