Owing a Harley Davidson has been a matter of pride for motorcycle enthusiasts across the world. Back in 2013, Willie G. Davidson, a retired Harley Designer and grandson of the company founder had gifted a 110th-anniversary FXDC Dyna Super Glide to Pope Francis. The 1,585cc motorbike that was auctioned last year for 243428 Euros featured the pope's signature on it. Moreover, during the last year's auction, the Pope also handed out personally signed jacket to the higest bidder.

This year FLSTC 103ci Heritage Softail Classic that bears the Pope Benedict XVI's screen-printed signature has gone up for auction at Bonhams auction house in Paris. The power-packed cruiser has been auctioned for 46,000 Euros and the earnings have been directed towards an NGO named Stowarzyszenie Przyjazny Swiat Dziecka (Friendly World Association) that caters to the needy families and children. The difference in auction prices is noted even though both of them featured screen-printed signatures as one landed up in Vatican whereas the other went to Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.
