GM India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American auto maker General Motors. GM India is planning to rev up its brand building process in India. "Our vendors, suppliers, dealers and all our associates are with us. We are now devising new campaign to convince our customers - 'There for you, there for India'. We may have to increase our ad-spend," said GM India President and Managing director Karl Slym.

GM India intends to refurbish its brand image and reassure the Indian customers that it is here to stay. Slym added that the company has invested more than a billion dollars in the country and is here to stay in the business. "India operations are part of the new GM, which will only include prime assets," he added.

The latest commercial of General Motors clearly depicts the company’s statement about being committed to the Indian customers. The MD himself appears in the ad to promise 3.5 years or 1 lakh km warranty on Spark variants.
