      GM announces the launch of new Chevrolet Cruze in Thailand

      The Thailand automotive market has given a warm welcome to the new face-lifted trim of Chevrolet Cruze in the country. The popular sedan comes with a fresh set of upgrades that make it a value added proposition in its segment. The Cruze LT has been offered for 946,000 baht, whereas the top of the line Cruze LTZ is offered for 998,000 baht.

      The new face-lifted trim of Chevrolet Cruze continues to be offered in petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol trim continues to be powered by 1.8 Litre engine that is capable of generating about 141 Hp of power with 177 Nm of torque. However, the vehicle being a fresh upgrade, it is now capable of burning the E85 gasohol. The company has paired Double CVC (Double Continuous Variable Cam Phasing) unit to DOHC and second-generation GF6 six-speed automatic, which as per the company, helps with quicker response and smoother changes.

      Chevrolet has however reportedly discontinued the production of 2.0 turbo-diesel engine that is capable of generating about 163 Ps of power with 360 Nm of torque. As part of fresh upgrades, the vehicle gets seven-inch color touchscreen infotainment system that is connected to Chevrolet’s MyLink function. The interiors also get a new 'Saddle Up' theme that renders it an upmarket feel.
