In April 2012, global wholesales of Tata Motors Group along with Jaguar Land Rover were flat at 87,377 units. 8% downfall has been registered in the global sales of all commercial vehicles such as Tata Daewoo, Tata and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range. The total sales figure stood at 38,008 units.
In April 2012, global sales of all passenger vehicles increased by 7%. The sales figure recorded was 49,369 units. Against April 2011, distribution offtake in India of Fiat cars and Tata passenger vehicles global sales were 24,226 units. Hence 9% downfall has been recorded.
Compared to April 2011, Jaguar Land Rover global sales were 25,143 vehicles in April 2012, which was 29% more. For the month, Land Rover sales were 21,540 units, which were 32 % higher whereas Jaguar attained 17% growth selling 3,603 units.
