      General Motors announces 53,000 cars recall with manufacturing defect

      As modern day cars get loaded with features and performance, their safety concerns have also grown in recent time. As per the latest update from sources, General Motors has announced a recall of about 53,000 car models in Arab Kingdom that have been found to have manufacturing defects. The decision has come in co-ordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

      The local dealers in Arab Kingdom shall receive chassis number details along with detailed list of defects. This process shall aid in quick resolution of problems. Sabq.org electronic newspaper quoted that the ministry is monitoring car recall operations in other countries for similar action. For now, it has been known that cars like GM Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2014 have been recalled for oil transmission problems, whereas cars like Cadillac XTS 2013 and 2014 models along with the Cadillac CTS 2014 models have also been recalled for defects.

      Apart from this cars like GMC Arcadia and Chevrolet Traverse 2009 to year 2014 models have been recalled for defective airbags, whereas the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna from the year 2009 to the year 2014 models have also been recalled for not adhering to safety specifications in the headrest components. Manufacturing defect has also been found with the Chevrolet Corvette 2014, that featured an “optional competition sports seat”.
