      Fresh test mule images of Hyundai i20 facelift reveals more details

      Hyundai i20 facelift has been spotted on test once again, but with lesser camouflage, thereby revealing more details about the upcoming vehicle. As seen in pictures, changes will be limited to the front and back of the vehicle while mechanically it will continue to be powered by existing engine options. Moreover, the new model is expected to be offered with more features over the current generation model.

      Based on what can be seen, the vehicle is expected to get a cascading grille on the front and redesigned headlamps. The vehicle will also get LED DRLs and revised bumpers with horizontal foglamps. The sides appear to be more or less similar to the current generation model, however the test mule featured dual tone diamond cut alloys this time around. The ORVMs also feature integrated turn signals. As for the rear, the taillamp cluster has been redesigned for freshness along with a newly designed rear bumper.

      As for the interior, the upcoming i20 facelift is expected to get a revised upholstery and an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle will come loaded with front airbags and ABS with EBD. Mechanically, the vehicle will continue to be powered by existing petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version will be powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission to generate 82bhp of power. The diesel version will get a 1.4-litre U2 CRDI engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox to generate 89bhp of power. The facelift model might also get the 99bhp producing 1.4-litre dual VTVT petrol engine that comes mated a 4-speed automatic torque converter.
