The Maruti Suzuki was never contained and pacified even after the impressive and excellent quality of play shown by its ace car, Swift. The statement that supports the Maruti's above mindset and approach is the news of the launch of the revised and redefined new Swift model that desires to relay the success to another high level. Of late, the revelation of the latest modified face of Swift has been accompanied by quite a few variants both in petrol and diesel version engines.

The petrol team consists of LXi, VXi and Zxi as its players and the opponent diesel team has LDi and VDi taking the face-off. If each player is studied stringently for its S.W.O.T analysis i.e. its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, its price tag affects its sales a lot. Thus, going through each and every variant is how the requirement for analyzing is met with.

Focussing on the petrol variants first, the Swift Lxi is priced at around 5 lacs and Swift Vxi and Swift ZXi cost around 5.54 lacs and 6.34 lacs respectively. The differences among the price crop up due to features that are present in some and missing in the other. For instance, Swift VXi is expensive than LXi because of additional features like tachometer, ORVM indicator, fog lamps and power windows. Albeit Rear wiper and Rear defogger are present in LXi. Comparing the facilities of VXi and ZXi models, ZXi outnumbers in Airbags, Rear wiper and Rear defogger and also in controls on steering and electric door mirrors.

The petrol version models offer a mileage of 18.0 kmpl on highways and 12.0 kmpl in the city which is common in all the petrol models. Even, the petrol team possesses an engine description of 1197cc, VVT, K-series engine in common. The petrol versions have been confronting with the same strengths of looks, high mileage, rich in features and an efficient strong engine. Whereas, the weaknesses in common being, uncomfortable rear seats, less boot space, inflated price and small rear windows.

Taking note of the diesel versions the reason for the Swift LDi model being lower in price from that of Swift ZXi petrol is the absence of EBD and ABS and central locking. However, it comprises of a 1248cc, DDiS engine and offers a fuel economy of 23.0 kmpl on highway and 18.0 in city which is common in the other diesel variant Swift VDi. When both the diesel variants come in front of each other, the 30k (appprox.) difference in price arises because of the presence of Fog lamps, Power windows and remote controlled Central locking in Swift VDi diesel.

Thus, the new Maruti Swift with its variants, is believed to have a decent image overall and is expected to mark its presence again, repeating the way, its debut performance stood out. Maruti Suzuki is confident to sway away the hearts again by cashing in on miniscule opportunities and averting uncalled for threats.
