Fred Deperez makes an entry in Nissan, at a time, when the car maker prepares for a large scale two-year launch schedule. The schedule comprises plans to roll-out the new-generation Sentra and Versa, along with other products that would emerge from the Nissan camp by 2012 and 2013.

The two of Nissan's struggling vehicles, Cube and the Quest minivan, would also be placed under his belt. The small-engine Cube has been registering meagre sales for quite sometime and reliable sources say, the model is likely to be discontinued.

The new Quest was reintroduced in the initial phases of the year 2011, with the aim to claim a larger share in the U.S. minivan market.

Thus, Nissan looks forward to change the prevailing trend, with the biggest step towards progress being taken already.
