The new Ford Mustang has made its European motor show debut with the help of the Euro-spec model which is slightly different from the car sold in the US. Shown today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Mustang comes with engine and suspension upgrades and more customisation options.

On the outside, the sporty low-slung look of the Mustang has been improved with LED lighting, new exterior colours and alloy wheel options. The three-dimensional tri-bar tail lights now all feature LED tech. The front headlight bezels also have been restyled to reflect the trapezoidal shape of the upper grille.

Under the long bonnet sits Ford’s popular 5-litre V8 engine which has been revised for more power and low-end response. The top-spec GT model now makes 450bhp of power thanks to a new high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port fuel injection system, which also increases low-end torque. The updated engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Ford is also offering a 6-speed manual for keen drivers.

Deliveries of the new Ford Mustang for customers in Europe will begin in 2018. The car competes against the likes of BMW M4 and Lexus RC F. We expect Ford to launch this updated model here in India sometime next year.
