      Four things to know about the Renault Kwid second Anniversary edition

      Renault India recently launched a second anniversary edition of the Kwid to celebrate the hatchback's completion of two years since its launch. This Kwid Anniversary Edition is offered only in manual variants and not AMT trims. The engine options remain the same with the Kwid's three-cylinder 799cc petrol mill producing 54bhp and 72Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre version, on the other hand, uses a 999cc three-cylinder petrol engine delivering 67bhp and 91Nm of torque. So what's different about this special edition? Read on to know about the four cosmetic updates on the car.

      Firstly, Renault is offering the Kwid Anniversary edition only in two body colours - red and white. In contrast to this exterior body paint, the OVRM housing, wheels and the skid plates are also painted red or white accordingly.

      Secondly, the car sports exterior decals that give it a glamorous look. There's a '02' sticker on the bonnet and sides to mark the second anniversary. Furthermore, the graphics added on the roof and C-pillar are good-looking ones.

      The third change is in the interior of the car. You will notice the seats are updated with red and black fabric to go with the theme. The carmaker is calling it the sportline seat upholstery that also gets the '02' badge as seen on the exterior.

      Lastly, the cabin is adorned with red embellishments to match the red and white external appearance. The gear-lever knob gets a red coloured mould with inscriptions in white. Similarly, the mats also get the same bright red accents.

      The changes will cost you Rs 15,000 more than the RXL or RXT trim of the regular Kwid. The other standard features are carried over from the respective grades. Some of the noteworthy features on the Kwid’s top-end variant are a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, speed dependent radio volume control, segment-first digital instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator, and 300 litres of boot space among others. All of these remain unchanged.
