The 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis was recently launched for the Indian market. We tell you about the four most important changes on the sedan.

Top 4 changes on the 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis facelift

Firstly, the overall shape of the car remains the same, but there have been some tweaks made to the exterior. The Altis now features a sleek look thanks to the re-profiled bumpers, in line with the automaker's new design language. The car can now be had in a new phantom brown colour and rides on new 16-inch alloy wheels.

The sedan’s cabin also gets some updates in the form of a revised dashboard. It features new dual tone trim inserts, revised air vents and reworked air-con controls. All the other features from the earlier model continue to be offered.

Another change that Toyota has brought in is by revising the variant line-up. The car won't be available in the entry-level J trim like the predecessor and the previous mid-level G trim now becomes the base variant. The petrol car is offered in three trim levels – G, GL and VL. However, the top-of-the-line VL trim comes only as an automatic. The diesel, on the other hand, comes in only two G and GL trim levels, with no top-end variant on offer.

And lastly, the prices of the sedan have been hiked. The earlier model was available from Rs 13.79 lakh to Rs 18.67 lakh, while the latest one is priced from Rs 15.88 lakh to Rs 19.92 lakh.
