These are the first pictures of the 2019 Ford F-450 which was spotted testing around Ford’s facility in Dearborn, Michigan. The updated truck incorporates fresh exterior upgrades such as a redesigned grille that’s flanked by new head lights, reshaped air vents on the front bumper, and the reworked tail lights. The rest of the design has been carried forward from the existing car.

However, the prominent changes to the new car will be the powertrains. While the new V8 motor will find its way into this application, the current six-speed TorqShift transmission will be dropped for the Raptor’s new 10-speed automatic gearbox. Reports claim that the current 440bhp 6.7-litre diesel mill and 6.2-litre 385bhp V8 petrol engine will be carried over from the existing stable after minor tweaks to boost performance and drivability. That’s just about all the information available on the new car, other than the fact that the existing trim-lines will also be offered with the updated truck.

Ford’s Super Duty trucks are the range-toppers of the brand’s line-up of truck. They are essentially known for their stronger chassis and suspension parts which offer significant improvements in payload carrying capability.
