      Ford set to export Figo to 18 new countries as international demand rises

      Ford India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, is gearing up to export its hatchback Figo to 18 more countries from this year. The car maker took this decision in the view of increasing demand for the popular hatchback in the international market.

      Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director, Ford India said, “Currently, we are exporting Figo to 32 countries. We are hoping to increase that to 50 markets." North Africa, South America and Caribbean Islands will be some of the new markets for Ford Figo.

      At present, the American manufacturer produces a medium sedan Fiesta Classic, Sports Utility Vehicle Endeavour, hatchback Delhi Auto Expo, in the domestic market.
