American carmaker Ford's corporate employees are in for a pleasant surprise. The company has recently unveiled it plans to hand over iPhones for corporate use to its employees located at worldwide locations. Speaking more on the occasion, Sara Tatchio, a Ford spokeswoman, said, “The second largest US automaker will replace BlackBerry Ltd’s smartphones with iPhones for about 3,300 workers by the end of this year. About 6,000 more employees will receive iPhones over the next two years, replacing flip phones.”

Ford has also put up an online job posting stating requirements for Mobile Technology Analyst who shall focus on overseeing global deployment of corporate iPhones. The phones deployment would take place in next two years and would be done in phases.

Adding more, Sara Tatchio said, “We are going to get everyone on iPhones. t meets the overall needs of the employees because it is able to serve both our business needs in a secure way and the needs we have in our personal lives with a single device. Having all employees on the same smartphone will improve security and simplify information technology management. “Ford is making no extra investment to convert to iPhones, other than the cost of replacing the devices.”
