The recently launched Omnicraft brand from Ford, offers spare parts for non-Ford cars. Additionally, it also allows customers to service their vehicle at a Ford dealership. The American automaker is offering about 1,500 Omnicraft parts such as oil filters, brake pads and rotors, struts, starters and alternators and over next three years expects to grow it to 10,000 globally. Reports further go on to indicate that automaker plans to grow its parts business from 30 per cent to 40 per cent over a period of next five years.

Currently, the automaker’s 3,200 Ford and Lincoln dealerships in the US have started receiving Omnicraft products. With this move the company intends to grow its business as well as retain its customers longer while additionally increasing the touch points for customers. Apart from Ford, General Motors Co.’s ACDelco brand has been the only one to offer parts for vehicles which have not been rolled out from their production line.

The products sold via the Omnicraft brand will carry the same 24-month warranty as seen in regular Ford Motorcraft brand. Though there is no confirmation on the parts being available in India, if introduced, this will definitely help the brand build better relation with the local buyers as well as increasing their overall profits.
