Ford, the American automaker recently unveiled the EcoSport facelift at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Unlike the current model, the updated model misses out on tailgate mounted spare wheel. The company has, in fact, started testing the updated model in India as well, which hints at its near launch in India. Though the company hasn't officially said anything about the vehicle, we expect it to rolled out in both versions - with and without tailgate mounted spare wheel.

The updated EcoSport also gets revised swing-gate that offers easy opening on limited available space. The rear registration plate is moved up to the tailgate, while the rear bumper gets a pseudo silver skid plate. It is also likely to get newly designed alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the SUV is likely to get new instrument panel with chrome treatment and light dimming, chrome accents for power window buttons, a satellite-navigation system, a rear-view camera, and better quality materials on the doors and bonnet.

If reports are to be believed, the EcoSport engines have been upgraded to Euro 6.1 emission. This means that the diesel version will offer 5PS more power. Moreover, the suspension mechanism of the car will be tweaked to provide better stability. The ground clearance could be reduced by 10mm to offer better driving experience.
