American carmaker Ford is planning on launching the 'Figo Aspire' compact sedan as a strong rival to Maruti Suzuki's popular Swift Dzire. The new sedan from Ford is likely to be manufactured at its Sanand facility in Gujarat and is likely to be launched in the country sometime by the end of March this year. Apart from this the company shall also launch the new Figo in the country.
The new Figo hatchback as well as the Figo Aspire sedan shall be powered by 1.2 Liter TiVCT petrol engine with variable valve timing that generates a power output of about 76 Bhp of power with about 103 Nm of torque. The new technology shall ensure enhanced performance and fuel efficiency figures. The vehicle would be mated with a five speed manual transmission. The diesel trim of the vehicle shall receive a 1.5 Liter TDCi engine that shall generate about 75 Bhp of power with 195 Nm of torque. The vehicle mated with five speed manual transmission shall deliver a fuel efficiency figure of about 27 kmpl.
Both the upcoming vehicles shall feature features like integrated music system with Bluetooth connectivity, Microsoft SYNC, steering mounted audio controls and electric ORVM's. As for safety, the vehicle shall receive dual airbags and ABS system in top-of-the-line variant. More details about the vehicle shall be known at the time of launch announced by the company.
