The US based leading car maker Ford Motors has entered into the business of used cars in the Indian market. The company launched its multi-brand used car business – Ford Assured – while inaugurating five facilities in different Indian cities.
The newly opened Ford Assured dealerships in the country include one each in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune and Kochi. The dealerships which will be handling used car business along with selling new cars include Harpreet Ford in Delhi, Bhagat Ford in Chandigarh, Kairali Ford in Koch, Planet Ford in Pune and KS Ford in Jaipur. The company would be partnering with a number of leading banks to provide easy finance options to Ford Assured customers.
The company said in a statement that Ford Assured would buy, recondition and sell Ford and other brand cars under the new initiative. Speaking to the reporters at the Ford assured dealership at Delhi, Ford India Marketing Sales and Service, Executive Director Nigel Wark said, "The demand for used cars has grown in India following the rising aspirations of the rapidly growing middle income customer group. Ford Assured allows us to offer our world class services to those who aspire to upgrade their vehicles."
