In order to further enhance its relationship with Indian customers, American automaker Ford has introduced the service cost calculator on its website. This helps customers to check maintenance cost even before paying a visit to the service station. The web-tool calculator can be utilized across the Ford range of vehicles in India.
The calculator reads out an estimate based on model, kilometers driven, fuel type, tax, labour charges and consumables. To offer transparency, customers can then print the report and carry it to their nearest authorized centre. The quote would only be valid for the month when it was requested for. To increase awareness on the new web-tool, Ford customers would be informed via mobile apps, service reminder eDMs, and dealership websites. The company Happy Pockets Service initiative has also allowed customers to avail service starting at Rs 2,199.
