Ford’s lineup for the Indian market keeps growing by the minute, and the latest name to find its way to the list of latest launches is the 2014 Ford Figo. Currently on display at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the new Figo remains mechanically unchanged but returns with an array of cosmetic changes. The new Figo is now flanked by a large hexagonal lower grille, with its signature look further accentuated by a sloping roofline, and sculpted side panels. The new sleektail lamps along with the new alloy wheels also do their bit to add to the hatchback’s aggressive stance. On the other hand, the cabin now comes loaded with smart features like Wi-Fi, a first for its class, and Bluetooth among other revolutionary features.

Following the findings of the recent Global NCAP small car crash test results, Indian manufacturers are going all out to load their models with safety features. And following in the footsteps of Volkswagen, Ford has also added airbags across all Figo variants in its refurbished avatar. Now, the ZXI variant comes with a side airbag, for the driver’s safety, while the top of the line variant i.e. Titanium, sports dual airbags.

The hatchback remains unchanged in terms of engine options though. It is still offered with the  1.4L Duratorq diesel mill and 1.2L Duratech petrol engine that deliver 68bhp and 70bhp worth of power, respectively.
