      Ford India widens sales and servicing network

      In wake of widening sales and service network in India, Ford has inaugurated facilities in various cities across the nation. As compared to the earlier 274 outlets in 146 cities, the company now has 304 outlets spread in 164 cities. New outlets have been opened in around 18 cities including Faridabad, Noida, Sriganaganagar, Jhansi, Shillong, Dimapur, Hosur, Kochi, Sanand, Raipur, Nashik, Chandrapur and Panvel in India. The company eyes to further swell its sales and service network to 500 outlets from current 304 by the year 2015.

      On the back of its newly inducted Happy Pocket Service, Ford aims at elevating the ownership experience for its customers. As per this initiative, the scheduled services begin at Rs 2199. Under this initiative the workshop personnel also proffers a report card check of the vehicle that comprises of replacement of sump gasket, oil filter, use of semi synthetic engine oil and genuine Ford parts. Labour charges are also included along with a car wash which the company vouches to be at lower price than others. The customers are also informed of the number of times a part is replaced. With this the company aims at emphasising at price transparency.

      The company also launched two new Quick lane Services in Kochi and Nashik. This helps in reducing the waiting period for a customer during servicing.

      Other than these, Ford India is planning to offer many other customer focused initiatives like parts at sub assembly levels for repairs, pan-India Roadside Assistance, 90 minute-Quick Service Bays and Mobile Service Vans. Ford eyes at making the brand more approachable. With the launch of new initiatives, the company has seen improvement in the monthly sales of its cars.
