      Ford India initiated a unique 'One Tank. 1500 km. One Classic Story' to capture dreams

      American car maker's Indian subsidiary, Ford India, kicked off a unique ‘One Tank. 1500 km. One Classic Story' campaign on August 10, 2012 with its Classic sedan. The campaign was aimed at providing 11 drivers a platform to live their dreams through an amazing drive. Each team in the campaign was provided with a Ford Classic’s Titanium series model with a full fuelled tank. The drivers, selected by the car maker from across the country, were accompanied by a videographer to record their dream expedition. All the eight models with 11 drivers were flagged off from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai.

      Commenting on this initiative, Vice-President, Marketing, Ford India, Anurag Mehrotra, commented, “Ford Classic truly stands for the self-driven. With its class leading fuel economy, smart features and intuitive design, it is a brand that personifies individuals who have a passion and the conviction to realize them. With the ‘One Tank. 1500 km. One Classic Story’ we are giving the participants a platform to go further and realize their passions and dreams.”

      The participants of the campaign included Magician Sandeep Bali, Photographer Priyanka Sachar, technology enthusiast Abhishek Baxi, Musicians Gaurav Vaz and Raghu Dixit, Chef Madhu Menon, Cricket aficionado Rahul Banker and Akash Jain, Artist Vinod Chandra as well as Movie buffs Errol Marks and Jaey Gajera.

      Driving from Bengaluru to Pusad, Raghu Dixit and Gaurav Vaz met the farmers in Pusad, Maharashtra to play music with them. Notably, these farmers have played a crucial role in their music journey to bring along Rang De, which is a non-profit peer to peer micro-credit lending platform. Both of them echoed similar sentiments and expressed, “I am excited to be a part of the Ford campaign ‘One Tank.1500kms.One Classic Story’, because my passion is music and my dream is to use music as a means to inspire a revolution in India. My journey to Pusad, where I will get a chance to jam with the farmers, is my way to recognize their contribution to our development.”

      On the other hand, noted chef, Menon drove to Hyderabad to explore Muslim cuisine. Menon said, “What better time to go to Hyderabad than Ramzan, when there is an array of delicious food everywhere. My quest is to find the most authentic and delicious Muslim cuisine and share that with my friends on social media.” On the other hand, Priyanka Sachar cruised to Wagah Border to capture the extremely exhilarating change of guard’s ceremony on her lenses.

      The campaign from Ford India offered immense creative opportunity to the aspiring cinematographers who accompanied the participants on their dream drive to help them capture their ‘Classic’ story. The Ford Classic Titanium sedan, the ride of the participants is reckoned for its cutting-edge features and unmatched fuel efficiency.

      With this innovative programme, it seems that the car maker is bringing its new Classic sedan in limelight with major highlight being its industry-leading mileage of over 32 kmpl. Owing to this initiative, the auto maker is trying to convey that it is possible to pursue dreams when the vehicle is Classis sedan.
