Ford India, the domestic arm of American auto maker, has opened the doors of its exclusive showroom in Sikkim, named Saharsh Ford. Interestingly, prior to this ceremony, the car maker recently inaugurated a new dealership at Himmatnagar, Gujarat. With these aggressive moves, industry experts believe that the company is in line with its commitment to expand footprints in Tier II and III cities of the country, in order to make its products and services easily accessible to every Indian.

The ribbon of new facility was cut by the Executive Director for Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, Vinay Piparsania, in the honourable presence of dealer principal of Saharsh Ford, Sanjay Bajla. Expressing his views at the launch ceremony, Piparsania was quoted as saying, “We have always endeavoured to offer our customers the best experience with Ford; and in this New Year we are excited to bring our first ever dealership to Sikkim. Expanding our sales and service network to more cities and towns is a significant part of our expansion to give our customer ease and convenience.”

The recently opened dealership, Saharsh Ford, features separate bays for showroom and service centre. It must be noted that both the sales and service units of Ford India are strategically located at the main Siliguri-Gangtok road to offer easy access to its customers. The new outlet sprawls around a vast area of 2500 square feet, whereas the work shop is spread over 12000 square feet. It must be noted that this facility is designed according to the auto maker’s global standards of Brand@Retail, which will surely enhance the ownership experience of its customers.

Presently, the auto maker has maintained 260 sales and service facilities across 138 cities of the country. Among these numbers, more than 40 per cent of outlets are based in tier II and III cities. Industry experts believe that the aggressive expansion plans of Ford India will surely facilitate the domestic buyers to experience the world class services and products from Ford.
