Ford India, the Indian unit of US based leading car maker Ford India, is all set to roll-out new generation Ford Fiesta in the Indian market in the second half of July 2011. The car was previously rumored to be launched towards 10th July but the company hasn’t revealed the exact date of the launch of the car in the country.
The car will be rolled-out in three variants including Titanium, Titanium plus, and ZXI. However, the specifications of the new Fiesta are yet to be disclosed by the company. Moreover, the car will be carrying improved mileage and reduced carbon emission. With its improved interior quality and a number of additional exciting features, the Ford Fiesta 2011 is expected to drive volume sales in the Indian market.
Earlier, the company had launched a new version of the car – Fiesta Classic - in April 2011. With launch of a new generation version, the Fiesta series of cars will be able to compete more promptly with rivals like Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Etios and Fiat Linea.
Meanwhile, the company is gearing-up to expand its portfolio in the Indian market with launch of five new car models in the country over the period of next few years.
