American automobile giant Ford is all set to present its Evos sedan concept at Frankfurt Auto Show starting on September 13, 2011. The company’s upcoming car, the all-new Fusion, is expected to be based on the Evos concept. Evos concept has a striking design, such that at first, it seems to be an Aston-Martin car, a brand once owned by the Ford Motor Company. The all-new Fusion, a mid-size sedan from the company would be based on the Evos concept; however, it will be longer than that. This Fusion would be the company’s first mid-size sedan with a global design. Subsequently, like the Fiesta, the company will sell the same car across six continents.

The company logo is the only thing that the all-new Fusion will share with the current Fusion. The Evos concept’s styling theme includes a chiselled nose, narrow headlights and a trapezoidal grill. This is a part of Ford’s new design policy and is similar to the recently launched Fiesta and Focus, although the grill is lower on these cars. The all-new Fusion, based on the Evos concept is expected to be unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This all-new Fusion can also be expected in the Indian market.

Ford, which stopped selling its Mondeo, the D-segment sedan in India, might re-enter this segment with the Fusion. The company had recently launched its all-new Fiesta, which has retained its global design. The all-new Fiesta has already been very well received in the Indian market. The company currently sells a hatchback, Figo, a C-segment sedan, the all new Fiesta, the entry level sedan, Fiesta classic and SUV Endeavour in the Indian market. Ford would be keen to utilise its rising popularity in the Indian market to make its presence felt in the D-segment as well.
