Ford India has launched 2014 Endeavour SUV at a starting price of Rs 19.83 lakh. Speaking on the on the launch of new Endeavour, Nigel Harris. President Ford India said, “At Ford, we are committed to delighting customers through continuous improvements in our products. Endeavour is a trusted nameplate and holds a special place in Ford India’s product portfolio. It has remained a vehicle of choice for customers who desire a dependable, muscular, rugged yet comfortable and safe SUV. The 2014 Ford Endeavour has been made more stylish, dynamic and comfortable while retaining its core DNA of an all-terrain vehicle,” said Harris.
The SUV had been witnessing dull sales for last couple of months; the facelift flaunting minor updates is aimed at boosting sales of the vehicle which had been reeling under slump. Among the new additions, insignificant design updates on the exterior front can be noticed. On the outer font a new grille, reworked bumper and a set of redesigned head lamps are included. Inside the cabin, seats have been covered with leather. Ford has retained engine the previous set up offered on the outgoing version.
Endeavour is available in two diesel engine options including a 3.0 litre Duratorq TDCi common rail diesel motor that generates a maximum power and torque output of 154 Bhp and 380 Nm respectively. Besides this a 2.5 lite Duratorq TDCi mill is also on offing that engenders a top power and torque output of 141 Bhp and 330 Nm respectively.
At the Beijing Motor Show, Ford exhibited Everest SUV which is said to be the comprehensively revivified variant of Endeavour for the domestic market. The next generation Ford Endeavour is expected to be launched in India by either end of 2014 or beginning of next year.
