Ford India Private Limited (FIPL), a completely owned subsidiary of the American auto maker, would offer the cutting edge and potentially life-saving Emergency Assistance system on its upcoming EcoSport model in the domestic market. This would make Ford EcoSport the first model in its segment to come with the sophisticated technology. This announcement came in Goa on May 7, 2013 and the American auto maker is expected to roll the EcoSport compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the country sometime next month.

Ford EcoSport to incorporate cutting edge Emergency Assistance system

Ford has developed its Emergency Assistance as a vehicle-based, free of cost and non-subscription call-for-help system, which offers an unmatched security for the driver and occupants of the car. This world-class safety feature is already present in over 5 million Ford cars in the global auto market. The service can be enjoyed for free as per the ownership cycle of the Ford vehicle. Ford’s Emergency Assistance system delivers critical voice messages in case of an emergency, like when the vehicle meets with an accident and airbags get deployed, amongst others.

Expressing his opinion on the first-in-the-segment offered sophisticated technology, Joginder Singh, President and Managing Director (MD) at Ford India Private Limited, was quoted as saying, “We’re so excited about being the first automaker to provide this technology where EcoSport will be uniquely positioned amidst segment players.” He further added, “Ford’s Emergency Assistance system has already proved itself as a life-saver in other parts of the world and we expect our customers here to appreciate this level of reassuring in-car connectivity.”
