Ford’s hot-selling compact SUV, the Ecosport is due for a launch with a new facelift. As seen in spy shots taken by sources, the new Ford EcoSport may not have a spare rear wheel. Major upgrades on the designing aspect are not expected and the vehicle may get mild cosmetic upgrades this time around.
Domestic acceptance for a cleaner back portion of the new upcoming car cannot be predicted for now, but looking on the positive aspect, this could probably mean more boot space. Technically the new Ford Ecosport is likely to be powered by the existing line of 1.0-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre petrol motors that are capable of generating about 123 Bhp and 110 Bhp of power, respectively.
The license plate is likely to be carried on the rear door rather than the bumper as seen in the current trim. On numerous occasions the vehicle has been spotted undergoing road test across streets in Europe. The company has not spoken about details of its anticipated launched, but if reports are to be believed, the vehicle may likely be launched sometime later in 2015.
