A special Edition Ford Aspire Blu has been spotted on test outside Ahmedabad (where Ford’s Sanand factory is located). Pictures indicate that it is a special edition of the American automaker’s compact sedan and mostly with cosmetic updates.
The exterior design updates look to be a blacked out roof, blacked out alloy wheels and black inserts on the grille. It is expected that the black theme will follow on the inside too and most likely an update for the SYNC3 infotainment system.
The car on test was a 1.5-litre diesel model. This engine produces 99bhp/215Nm and can only be had with a five-speed manual. But, as we said earlier, we expect that there will also be a petrol powered version. It’s expected to be based on the top-of-the-line Titanium variants and so it will get all the features available to the Aspire range.
The Aspire is a rival for the likes of the Maruti Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Xcent and the Honda Amaze.
