Force Motors India has announced the launch of two new variants in its MUV Trax named Toofan Deluxe and Cruiser Deluxe in India for Rs 8,68,515. Apart from a few cosmetic upgrades, the vehicle also gets added equipments and more powerful engines. The Cruiser Deluxe has been offered in 11+D seating configuration, while the Toofan Deluxe is offered in two options – 9+D or 13+D configuration.
Under the hood, both the models are powered by 2,596cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine that effectively generates about 80bhp at 3,200 rpm and 230nm of torque at 1,800-2,000 rpm. The BS-III-compliant engine comes mated to five-speed manual gearbox. Speaking more on the occasion at the time of launch Mr. Ashutosh Khosla, President Sales and Marketing, said “Trax is the first fully indigenous, multi utility vehicle developed in the country. Over the past three decades it has established itself as the preferred people and goods carrier in rural & semi urban India. Force Motors has been constantly refining and updating it over the years thereby ensuring its unchallenged longevity. The latest variant which offers more comfort to its passengers’ is another step in that direction.”
In terms of upgrades the vehicle gets redone grill, new bumpers, restyled body cladding, wheel covers and new decals. As for the interiors, the vehicle gets new upholstery and dual tone dashboard. Apart from the front row air-conditioner, the second row also gets a roof mounted blower.
