India's face on the F1 circuit known as Force India has pulled off the curtains from the new team livery that shall feature in the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship. Speaking more on the occasion Dr Vijay Mallya, Force India team principal said, “It’s another evolution of the contemporary look we introduced last year, which reflects the growth of the team and the global brands with which we are working. I love the addition of silver, which makes the car appear more sleek and aggressive and I’m sure it’s something that will appeal to the fans as well. Our traditional team colours remain integrated in the livery, but we’ve given it a very modern twist.”

The new color scheme was unveiled in the presence of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg at a special launch event that was held in Mexico City. The team has claimed that the VJM08 is indeed an evolution of the VJM07 that shall be used in Jerez test. Speaking more on the occasion Mallya added, “The 2015 car is a refinement of what we learned in 2014. Another major step forward is the technology change, in that we are now using a 60% wind tunnel in Cologne, Germany which is a far bigger step than we have ever taken before. Traditionally we have been in Brackley where we used to develop our car with a 50% model and an outdated wind tunnel. With this new and important tool available to use we hope the 2015 challenger will really prove its worth in competing with the big boys of F1 when we start the European season. We are lucky to have two exceptional drivers who will hopefully steer the Sahara Force India challenger to the front of the grid, and hopefully a few podiums during the current year.”

Speaking about changes made to the front end of the new Mercedes-powered machine, Andrew Green, technical director said, “The front of the car looks very different from what we had developed previously. It is a redesign that involved a lot of work over the winter, as the new regulations caused a loss in terms of down-force and we’ve been working to claw back all that performance.”
