      Fluidic Hyundai Sonata by March 2012

      Hyundai, the second largest auto maker in India, is planning to launch its all new Sonata in the Indian market by the mid of March 2012. As per the senior officials of Hyundai, the sixth generation of Sonata will be available in six speed manual and automatic transmission options. Moreover, the new Sonata will flaunt Hyundai's philosophy of ‘Fluidic Sculpture’, which has flowing smooth lines, as in 'Verna Fluidic.’

      As far as engine configuration of this new car is concerned, it is powered by a 2.4 litre GDI petrol engine which has enough potential to perform wonder over roads. The maximum power generated by the engine of this car is 198 bhp at 6300 rpm. Peak torque at 255 Nm at 4250 rpm is also churned. To assist the powerful engine of this car, it is mated with an efficient six speed transmission in an option of both automatic as well as manual.

      With high wheelbase, the car offers ample space at interiors for comfortable seating of five individuals. The interiors of Hyundai Sonata hold sufficient space for legroom and headroom that ensures a convenient drive to all the passengers. In order to provide a hassle free drive, new Sonata is equipped with McPherson Strut type multi link suspensions that smoothly glide the car over the potholes of Indian roads.

      Ensuring a complete safety of its passengers, Hyundai Sonata is assimilated with most of the high-end safety advancements. These features include six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), rear parking sensors, Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), rear parking assist and impact door sensing unlock. All these features add to the essence of safety in the car.

      Along with this, the car also boasts numerous comfort features that further enhance the convenience of its occupants. Features like 10-way adjustable driver seat, steering mounted audio controls, front as well as rear ventilated seats (using airflow from AC) and cruise control are incorporated in the car. Moreover the dual zone fully automatic temperature control system of this car maintains a soothing ambience within its interiors.

      Owing to these world class equipment and features, Hyundai Sonata is likely to be placed in a price barricade of around Rs. 16 lacs, which is much accepted in this segment.
