It plans to achieve this by having products with 90 per cent localisation whereby it would be able to effectively price its vehicles when compared to the competition. The first car to roll out of this effort will be an SUV to rival Hyundai Creta that will be launched in 2020. The current line-up of the Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq will also be upgraded as a part of this effort.

This is expected to be followed by a premium hatchback and the next generation Rapid sedan. Of course, these models will be shared with Volkswagen that will also produce a Hyundai Creta-rivalling SUV and the next generation Polo hatchback. There’s no word on the other derivatives of the Polo like the Ameo and the Vento as yet. Its two premium offerings the Tiguan and Passat too will be updated. At the luxury end, Audi is expected to upgrade its entire range during this period.
