Fiat revealed its small new car for the future generation which is a special concept designed unveiled at the 2010 Sao Paulo. The new Fiat Mio was born out of the collaboration of more than 11,000 design concepts submitted by almost 17,000 participants to the project. "Designed for a world where the driver can be simply a passenger and can have the vehicle controlled through intelligent means,” as Fiat describes it, the concept is meant to inspire us and give us a glimpse into the future the automaker envisions.

Fiat’s design boss, Peter Fassbender, said: “A good designer tries to realise the wishes of everyone, and with this concept car we were truly working on everybody's behalf.”

The Mio is actually the third concept car in a line that includes the previous FCC Adventure and FCC Bugster. It measures 98 inches in length, which means it’s about 6 inches shorter than the already puny Smart Fortwo. Green elements of the concept include its sustainable eco-friendly materials, proposed zero-emissions electric drive system and its ability to be used in car sharing programs where a single car can satisfy the mobility needs of several different drivers.
