Back at the 2016 Auto Expo event, the Italian automaker Fiat had showcased the stylish Urban Cross crossover. Based on the Avventura, the Urban Cross gets more upmarket detailing and style upgrades. Reports indicate that the new model might be launched sometime in September this year and will lure the younger car buying segment.
Under the hood, the upcoming fiat Urban Cross will be powered by a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine from the Abarth line which is capable of churning out 138bhp of power and 210Nm of torque. The powerful engine will come mated to a five speed manual transmission. The exterior looks sporty with large built in LEDs and bezel around the headlamps, new roof rails and a large stylish grille. At the rear, it dumps the rear-mounted spare tyre and gets the unique smooth rounded contours as the entire car. Back at the Auto Expo, the Urban Cross sported 17-inch wheels with unique flower petal designed alloys.
As for the interior, the Urban Cross from Fiat will get a dual tone combination. The upcoming crossover might also offer a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, AUX, and navigation support. The car is expected to get premium upholstery and be loaded with all modern safety features. As for the pricing aspect, we believe that the upcoming vehicle might be priced around Rs 8.5 lakh.
