      Fiat organises free vehicle check-up camps in Mumbai, Pune and Surat

      Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited, a domestic subsidiary of the Italian auto giant, is ready to set new benchmarks in terms of after-sales service offered by car makers in the country. The company has planned to offer free vehicle check-up camps for its customers across India, starting from May 17, 2013. The free check-up camps are organised at the exclusive Fiat dealerships and the first phase would cover Mumbai, Pune and Surat cities from May 17 to May 19, 2013.

      Fiat Group Automobiles India would be organising more such free mega check-up camps in the country, following the phase one conducted in the Western India region. The state-of-the-art camps are one stop destination to get Fiat vehicles serviced, repaired and evaluated for optimum performance, with the service to borne by the company. Apart from free check-ups, the Italian auto maker also offers heavy discounts on auto accessories, spares and components. As per reports, Fiat Group Automobiles India has devised an eighty point vehicle check-up that evaluates physical state of the engine, car, ride quality, brakes, functionalities of electrical systems employed, clutch and many other important areas, required for optimum usage of a car.

      Expressing his views regarding the free mega check-up camps and the company's philosophy towards the same, Nagesh Basavanahalli, President and Managing Director (MD), Fiat Chrysler India Operations was quoted as saying, “Fiat India is rapidly taking strides to reach out to incumbent and prospective customers. The after sales check-up camps are an effective way to connect with our existing customer base of over 2,00,000 and reiterate our commitment to them. Through the check-up camps, we will replicate Fiat’s global standards in after sales service in India.”

      The exclusive Fiat retail outlets in Mumbai, Pune and Surat would be contacting their existing customers through emails and text messages, in order to inform them about the free check-up and service camps. The three day long camp in Mumbai is organised at the Balaji Autoworld, Mohan Mill Compound, Ghod Bunder Road, Thane (West). Apart from the extensive 80 point check-up, the Italian auto maker is offering a free top wash as well. The company has also put on offer a 20 per cent discount on labour charges and 10 per cent discount on auto components and spares, along with a 10 per cent cut on original car accessories. All the aforementioned facilities and discounts have been devised exclusively for the Fiat vehicle owners of the city and nearby region.

      This big undertaking by Fiat Group Automobiles India is in line with it's strategy of augmenting brand image and customer relationship in the country, besides restating the importance Indian auto market holds for its operations. The company had also opened its new exclusive store with the 'Fiat Caffe' in Bengaluru recently.

      Fiat
