The launch of aggressively priced utility vehicles has provided a serious competition to sedans. However, despite this, sedans are preferred by a number of customers in India, who want vehicles that are comfortable and stylish. The launch of Honda Amaze compact sedan was a crucial development for the segment as it has been performing exceptionally well in India. Along with Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Amaze has led the entry level sedan segment of Indian car market.
