      Fiat Linea Classic to be launched on 25th September, 2013

      It is a confirmed news that Fiat India is going to launch the Classic variant of its Linea sedan on 25th September in the capital city, Delhi. This new vehicle is expected to slot below the base variant of the standard Linea that is available in the Indian automobile market. In a bid to keep the cost of this vehicle down, a lower-spec engine is being expected by industry experts in this sedan.

      The plan to launch Linea Classic in India is being considered as a bid by the Italian auto maker to gain on its market presence in the C-Segment where Linea is currently placed. Nagesh Basvanhalli, President for Fiat India, said that as there is enough growth scope in the Indian automobile market, the company is planning to reach out to more and more customers to gain on its brand presence. Evidently, the introduction of Linea Classic can be seen as a measure to harness the untapped opportunities that persist in the market.

      Regarding the growth plans, the auto company is definitely planning to bet high on the Indian market. As per the available information, Fiat has a plan to proceed with the launch of nine models, spanning a time-period of over three years. This move can also be seen as a way to widen the product range that is currently available. Incidentally, the aforementioned aim will see its initiation with the launch of Linea Classic as the first planned out product.

      As per industry experts, the newly launched Linea Classic is expected to cost at least Rs. 60,000 less as compared to the standard petrol and diesel base variants. Notably, this vehicle is expected to compete with likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Nissan Sunny and the Renault Scala. The main attraction of this car is its large size and enhanced design. Many experts see it as an advantage for Linea Classic.

      Currently, the base variant of Linea is offered for a price of Rs. 7.12 lakh. This vehicle carries a distinctive appeal when it comes to exteriors. The front fascia is unique with front chrome surround grille and flashy headlamps. Fog lamps have also been provided to assist in driving. The rear portion is also pretty well shaped up. Interiors are decent and cabin comfort ensures a cosy city and highway drive. Other features to look for are Boot Lamp, Dual Tone Dashboard and Silver Coloured Inside Door Handles. For maximising comfort of passengers, this car comes with features like rear armrest, tilt steering and internal roof light with dimming effect.

      Effective air conditioning system to further enhance the comfort level also comes as a value addition in this sedan. Notably, the car comes fitted with rear AC vents (foot level) to acclimatise the ambient temperature for passengers. There are many safety and security features that this vehicle comes with in order to ensure maximum safeguards against mishaps. Features like automatic door lock, central door locking, double crank prevention system, driver seat belt warning light, exact door open indicators, fire prevention system and immobiliser with rolling code are some of the top-notch safeguards found in this car. Here, the main aim is to focus on the fact that the new Fiat Linea Classic is more or less expected to get similar features for providing an enhanced driving experience to the passengers.
