Fiat India, a unit of the leading Italian car maker Fiat Spa, has launched a new variant of its popular premium hatchback Punto – Punto Sport – in the Indian market on Friday. The car is offered with a price tag of Rs 7.36 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The car was launched Fiat Caffe situated in Koregaon Park, Pune.
Powered by Fiat’s highly successful 1.3L Multijet diesel engine, the new Fiat Punto is capable of delivering a peak power of 90 bhp.
Besides a powerful engine, the new Punto carries a number of cosmetic upgrades that make it much sportier as compared to the other existing variants. At the exterior, the new Punto Sport comes equipped with special decals with color coded wing mirrors at both rear and side front. Moreover, the new features like chrome exhaust tip and chrome-door handles further enhance the stylish look of the car.
Inside, there are a number of exiting upgrades including seats incorporated with red stitching, gear and gear leaver covered in leather, additional chrome finishing at dashboard, aluminum pedals and Punto branded door sills.
Moreover, there are many new features on safety, comfort & convenience front including dual stage airbags, ABS (antilock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), integrated CD/MP3 player with USB and Bluetooth and automatic climate control.
