      Fiat Evo Punto coming in August, expected to be priced between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh

      August is when Fiat will roll out refreshed Punto hatchback in India; the hatchback will be sold under a new name, ‘Evo Punto’. Sources reveal that the vehicle has reached dealerships which reinforce the speculation of Evo Punto launching in August. Comprehensively tweaked Punto is expected to be priced between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh. Exterior upgrades made to the vehicle include a revised front fascia sporting a new grille, sweptback head lamps; chrome surrounded and redesigned fog lamps among others. Side profile has received minimal changes like chrome inserted door handles and multi-spoke alloy wheels donning new design. Rear gets a set of revamped tail lights, new stop lamps and bumper with chrome treatment.

      Revivifications have also been made inside the cabin and new equipments have also been incorporated to render it a fresh appeal. Among the noticeable tweaks a retouched dashboard, black and beige colour scheme, bigger dials on steering, rear AC vents and silver accented AC Vents, instrument panel and centre console. Two tone colour scheme will be seen in the entry level models, while the 90 Bhp trim will come with all black interiors.

      Fiat will offer Evo Punto in petrol and diesel engine options, powering diesel range will be the 1.3 litre Multi-jet engine that engenders varied power output of 75 Bhp and 89 Bhp. Petrol powered Evo Punto will be offered with two engine options- a 1.2 litre petrol engine that is good for a maximum power of 67 Bhp and a 1.4 litre T-Jet motor that churns out top power of 90 Bhp. This would be second roll out from Fiat this year after Linea facelift. The auto maker has planned few more launches for this year that includes new Fiat Avventura crossover and its performance oriented brand Abarth under which the company will launch a premium hatchback 500 Abarth.
