Ahead of Fiat Avventura launch in India, Fiat company has started teasing the vehicle on its official website. However, the company has not revealed any official date for the launch of Avventura but it seems that the launch is around the corner. Displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo, Avventura is a hatchback based crossover that will compete with other vehicles in this segment including Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. The teaser image available on Fiat India’s website gives a sneak peek into the features equipped on the front fascia of Avventura including projector head-lamps, front grille and bumper.
Avventura crossover has been conceived on new Punto Evo hatchback which is yet to make it s debut in domestic market. Additional equipments likely to be offered on Avventura crossover comprise of skid guards, plastic body claddings, roof rails and a spare wheel affixed on the rear.
Fiat will offer same engine configuration in Avventura as expected to be seen in Fiat Punto Evo. Petrol variants of the crossover will come with two engine options-a 1.2 litre and a 1.4 litre petrol engines. Diesel range will be loaded with 1.3 litre diesel powertrain. The concept version showcased at 2014 Delhi Motor was equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, however, production version could come affixed with a five-speed tranny.
