The 812 Superfast is being launched to commemorate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, and is basically a reworked version of the F12 Berlinetta. The exterior revisions depict a new set of LED head lamps, restyled body panels, and quad tail lamps. On the other hand, the interiors highlight the more ergonomic seats, a contemporary infotainment system, fresh looking climate controls, and a reworked dash that include a new steering wheel and instrument cluster. The 812 Superfast also has the distinction of being the first Ferrari to use an electric power steering setup.

Powering the 812 Superfast is the brand’s new naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine that sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This unit produces 799bhp and 718Nm of torque, a sizeable gain over the 740bhp that the F12 Berlinetta’s 6.3-litre V12 motor makes. Combined with the 1525kg dry weight, this motor helps the 812 Superfast hit a claimed top speed of 340kmph. Furthermore, the sprint from standstill to 100kmph takes 2.9sec, which is 0.2sec quicker than the F12 Berlinetta.

More information on Ferrari’s upcoming 812 Superfast shall be revealed next month, so stay tuned.
