The European Union Intellectual Property Office has just released some patent images by Flavio Manzoni which look like a new Ferrari that’s based on the LaFerrari coupe.
What’s interesting is that a vehicle that fits this description is currently being showcased at the concept car section at the Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, this is not the first time that this concept has been exhibited in the United Arab Emirates, and the earlier iterations that were showcased prove that the current concept has evolved a great deal.
Why would Ferrari keep updating a concept car and display it repeatedly unless they were interested to see it going into production. As a matter of fact, Flavio Manzoni admitted at the LaFerrari’s introduction in 2013 that one of the suggested LaFerrari’s designs was kept undisclosed to make way for a one-off project.
As Ferrari celebrates their 70th anniversary in 2017, it is possible that this concept could be showcased sometime this year, in production form, to mark the occasion. Ferrari has already begun celebrations by revealing 70 special liveries. Stay tuned for more news.
