There are high expectations from the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Beat and General Motors has just boosted up the hype. The global automobile industry knows this car better as ‘Spark’. It is quite evident from the teaser that the new Beat is more aggressive in appearance. The main highlight of this model is the new head lamps, which has some reflections of a Hyundai model.

Recently, the Opel Karl or Vauxhall Vivo was recently showcased at the Geneva Motor Show recently. Incidentally, the new model from General Motors is based on this model. Similar appearance and creases can be observed on the new Beat model, which is undoubtedly inspired from the Opel or Vauxhall hatch. All points to General Motors for inspiring the engineers to develop a smarter appearance for the new Beat. With such engine specifications, the car is expected to return approximately 25.44 kilometres per litre. Other features that can be expected from the model include power steering, child safety lock and heater. Tubeless tyres can also be expected from the upcoming Chevrolet model.

Just like the hatchback showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, the Beat will feature a 1.0-litre Ecotec petrol mill. This engine produces 75 PS power and is apt for the global variant. However, the India specified variant will have the same 936 cc diesel mill and 1.2-litre petrol engine. This new model will make its global debut in New York and Seoul on April 2nd, 2015. The Indian car-enthusiasts might have to wait longer for this car as it seems that it will come to the country only in 2016. All hopes are high that the car will be showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo in February in 2016.
