Mahindra recently came up with the new Mahindra Scorpio. It was said to be a facelift, but it was more of the variation in the exteriors as well as the interiors of the vehicle. It hasn’t been much long since the launch of this car, which was held on 25 September this year in India. Till now, the booking rate has been overwhelming, with an order of more than 12,000 Scorpio’s within a fortnight.

The facelift version of Mahindra Scorpio comprises of a varied front look, which still would give a feel of the old Scorpio during first glance. This sturdy look is accompanied by a varied grille, rectangular headlamps, and integrated LED daytime running lights. The wheel is also fitted to a varied 17-inch alloy. In all, the New Mahindra Scorpio provides a manly look of an SUV and lives by its name.

The interiors of this SUV have also seen quite a lot of variation. The installation of a new dashboard that has been designed to match with the air conditioning vents and the switch gears is made. Advancement is the 6-inch touchscreen, which shows all the information and even provides the live feed of the rear view camera.

The powertrain didn’t experience many variations. The New Mahindra Scorpio comes with a 2.2L m-Hawk diesel engine capable of producing 120 bhp power and 290 Nm torque. The new Mahindra Scorpio marks the presence of the all new 320MT five-speed manual transmission.

In all, Mahindra has always been an expert while bringing changes to their vehicles. This is the reason of receiving such a great amount of pre-orders within a fortnight of the launch, which in itself is a massive achievement.
