German brand Volkswagen has been a strong name in the Indian automobile market. The Vento sedan and Polo hatchback from the company’s production line have been hotsellers in the Indian market. This time around Volkswagen has come up with the new Vento loaded with fresh cosmetic upgrades. This time around the new Vento has not received major technical upgrades except for introducing a new diesel engine.
The new Volkswagen Vento is priced between Rs 7.44 lakh to Rs 10.94 lakh (ex-showroom price). The new diesel trim is powered by 1.5 litre TDI engine as against the previous 1.6 litre TDI powertrain. The new engine generates impressive performance figures of about 105 PS at 4400 RPM and 250 Nm between 1500 to 2500 RPM. The decently powered engine has been mated to seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. Five speed manual transmission is further carried in both petrol as well as diesel trims.
The new Volkswagen Vento is now available in new shade of Toffee Brown. Apart from this, the new version also gets projector headlamps and redesigned alloy wheels. As for the interiors, the sedan has received redesigned steering wheel with a flat bottom and further improved instrument cluster with MID and silver inserts in the audio system area.
