The facelifted models of the Datsun GO and the Go+ are expected to be introduced in India by the end of third quarter this year. The new model is expected to revive dropping sales for the GO and the Go+ in India, where it was first introduced in March 2014. Mechanically, the cars will continue to be powered by existing engine options and any changes will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades.

It is believed that the upcoming facelifted cars will borrow styling cues from the recently updated Indonesian-spec models. It is believed that changes will come in form of updated front grille, a new bumper, restyled headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. For freshness and taking on competition in its segment, the updated models are expected to get newly designed alloys and ORVMs with integrated turn signals.

As for the interior, we can expect revised upholstery, tweaked dashboard and an improved set of comfort and safety features. The vehicle is also expected to get a fresh set of features in form of power windows and touchscreen infotainment system in the top-spec variant. Under the hood, it continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out 78bhp of power and 104Nm of peak torque. It will continue to be mated to a five-speed manual transmission and the possibility for a CVT option is unlikely anytime soon
